On April 20th, thesis students from DAMES and AMST presented their projects to an assembly of their peers, colleagues, and interested parties. All presentations were successful, a result of a year’s worth of effort from each of these determined young scholars.
Dr. Pamela Lothspeich, who taught this year’s thesis class and organized the colloquium, said, “I am so impressed by the scholarship and creativity of these brilliant, kind, and all-around amazing students! It was an honor and delight to work with them in the ASIA 691H class, and so exciting to see all of their hard work come to fruition at the colloquium and celebration. I wish them all the best in all of their future endeavors!”
DAMES Department Manager Lori Harris was also in attendance, and was quick to add, “I look forward to this every year, and I’m glad we’ve partnered with American Studies because their students always have such fascinating research topics!”
