ASIA/JWST/PWAD 235: Israeli Cinema: Gender, Nation, Ethnicity
This course is designed for students of Middle Eastern Studies, Jewish and Hebrew Studies, Communications, Women’s Studies, Global Cinema, and for all students interested in learning about Israeli culture and society as represented in cinema. The class will explore the modes of expression by which contemporary Israeli films often depict a multifaceted and conflicted nascent society. This course counts as a content course for the Hebrew minor, for the Jewish Studies major and minor, for the interdisciplinary major and minor in Asian Studies, and for the minor in Global Cinema.
