The goal of this course is to improve overall language proficiency (both accuracy and fluency) in using Chinese for business purpose, with a particular emphasis on oral and written discourse.  The course also aims to enhance knowledge of the globalized world and business etiquette through journalism readings, case studies and listening to/watching business news and scenarios.  Students learn specific workplace skills such as cross-cultural communication as well as how to write resume, cover letter, business emails/letters and a marketing proposal.  Simulated real-life collaborative tasks are assigned to encourage teamwork.  The prerequisite or co-requite for this course is Chinese 407, 414 or students were placed in this course.
