To sign up for a placement test in any language taught in the Department of Asian Studies, please submit this webform.

The next time placement tests will be given is Monday, August 19.

The Arabic placement exam is in two parts. Please sign up with the form below for the in-person part, and click here to take the online part prior to the in-person test.

The Chinese placement exam has two regular sessions (update: one is full) plus a third separate session exclusively for people returning from a study abroad program through UNC. People who are not study abroad returnees may sign up for either of the regular sessions; they will be identical.

The Korean placement exam is also in two parts. Please sign up with the form below for the in-person part, and click here to take the online part (available starting May 1) prior to the in-person test.
