Summer & Study Abroad

For many years the Arabic program has offered successful summer courses in Arabic. These courses are an excellent opportunity for students to accelerate their language study, or to begin studying the language if they were not able to find a seat in a course during the academic year. Typically, summer courses are smaller than semester courses and are thus an excellent opportunity for students to work closely with their instructors. Information about summer Arabic courses.

In addition, the Study Abroad Office offers a range of approved programs in the Arab world. Students are encouraged to consult the Arabic program faculty about programs in other parts of the world, for example, the UNC faculty-led program in Paris, that might offer courses of interest to Arab cultures majors or Arabic minors, and available Burch Field Seminars.
